Oohhh it's been 3 weeks!

And I've done quite a bit! Our front flower bed is IN! Will post some photos this week sometime. I hate being inside in the summer so I don't get on my computer much at home to upload pictures from my camera to my computer and into here. Maybe a laptop is in order.....soon...or later...
So, also assembled(not an easy job!) six adirondack chairs and stamped them with pretty stuff and painted the pretty stuff, then put a clear over it to make the whole chair pretty and shiny. I LOVE them! THEN painted two picnic tables - all this for our backyard. One is cedar red, the other indigo blue. I love them too! Pictures of everything soon, I promise! Just need a rainy day.....haha.
Took a week's vacation to do all this....I think the next vacation, I will do NOTHING. Except sit in my adirondack chairs...
Oh - we put in a vegetable garden too...and I am SO EXCITED. I haven't canned in two years and I miss it so much. I love our homemade sauces we make (yes, we, my husband and I) and I love homegrown green beans....and salsa....and deep fried breaded green tomatoes....I'm getting hungry.
Next thing coming up is my cousin's wedding - looking forward to seeing everyone again...and just plain having some fun.
Next is Robs and family coming to visit! Can't wait! Anxious for her to see our new house and everything we've done to it AND get her creative advice on what to do next.....I hope her kids love it here....

My Weekly Post - 05/05/08

What a great weekend I had! My husband last year pulled a HUGE hornets nest off of one of our pines in the back and dried it out - nothing was in it anymore - he checked - and painted the needles green again, let it dry all winter - we hung it in our living room over the weekend. It looks AWESOME. I took pictures and will post them tomorrow - I PROMISE. Along with other nice pictures we took....
I finished a quilted bag, a bell pull(for my sisters), and 3 cards - a birthday one and 2 mother's day cards....so I got SOMETHING done. Also baked cookies and a pound cake - made it more like a breakfast cake adding a crunchy top to it - it was GOOOOD!
Other than that, a very nice relaxing weekend of playing outside and reading out on the front porch.
Not wanting to be at work AT ALL - would rather be home "playing" in my room sewing or scrapping.....
or at least park my butt on that porch with a good book. Harry Potter is the current one...

I finally have a BLOG!!!

Now I just have to work on pictures and adding pretty stuff.....Maybe tonight. Started working on quilt projects last night after scrapbooking all last week! Having two creative hobbies is a little tough at times, but I can't choose between them and sometimes one helps me create in the other, so why mess with a GOOD THING. So I guess I have a little project for tonight.....upload some pictures, layouts, and quilts to show off.....
